Our theme this year is “From the Pit to the Palace,” and we will study the life of Joseph (Genesis 37-50).

We will be learning about Joseph’s life with his family and brothers and how he went from being thrown into a pit and sold into slavery to becoming the second in command of Egypt.
 

VBS will be occurring inside of the church building, and we ask that your child(ren) wear comfortable clothing like they would for school along with comfortable shoes that will allow them to play games.

There will be a rotation available for children ages 3 through 6th grade that includes a lesson, crafts, games, and lunch. The age groups are based on the grade that your child will be going into during this next 2024-2025 school year.
We will have an adult class available for adults and teens entering 7th grade and above.

The group leaders who will be accompanying your child(ren) through the rotation are all adults with experience in working with children. Many are professionals who are specifically certified in working with children of different ages (i.e., teachers, nurses, medical professionals).
Your child(ren) will be accompanied by multiple adults at all times, and we will have several adults leading each group in and several adults at each center of the rotation to help.

Your child(ren) will follow the following rotation throughout the morning: lesson, crafts, games, and lunch. 

• The lesson will be similar to a storytime setting where children will sit and listen to a lesson about the life of Joseph. 
• During crafts, children will make a craft pertaining to the story of Joseph. 
• During games, children will play simple games like they might play in P.E. class that pertain to the story of Joseph. 
• At lunch, children will sit and eat a meal while watching a children’s video on the story of Joseph. The youngest children will eat lunch first, and the oldest children will eat lunch later in rotation.

Lunch will be provided and snacks available throughout your child(ren)'s time at VBS.

If your child has dietary sensitivities, allergies, or restrictions, please indicate those when you register, and we will make accommodations in order to provide a meal that your child can eat.
